VivoFit 4 Accessories

 With the wearables market being so heavily saturated, we wanted to examine new ways to refresh the same old silicone bands that we so commonly see. Compression molding was a limiting factor for our manufacturing process. In order for us to truly stand out amongst the other wearables, the aesthetic had to be appealing but also speak to the Garmin brand. As a result we introduced concepts pushing the compression molding process, saving cost and creating unique materials.

 Initial explorations involved experimenting with silicone rollers and the color mixing process. The results yielded some interesting molds but creating consistency when scaling up for higher volumes became the ultimate challenge.
